The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas leads the fight to stop seizures, find a cure and overcome the challenges created by epilepsy.

It may be hard to believe, but "every 4 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with epilepsy." In the time it takes to read this, someone will hear the words “You have a seizure disorder…you have epilepsy.”  Epilepsy affects all aspects of a person's life.  Learning to cope with and manage epilepsy takes a coordinated effort by family, friends, teachers, and the community. Here at our website you can get educated about the network of people who want to help you live life to the fullest!

The Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas (EFCST) was founded in 1993 to improve the quality of life of the over 130,000 adults and children with epilepsy  in Central and South Texas. EFCST strives to put an end the myths and misunderstandings about epilepsy while helping individuals with epilepsy to improve their quality of life and the opportunity to live a full and meaningful life.
