I'm Still Here - Epilepsy Resilience Scholarship

In Memory of Carmen Avalos

 

The I’m Still Here Epilepsy Resilience Scholarship honors the legacy of Carmen Avalos and reflects our ongoing commitment to ensuring that no one faces epilepsy alone.   Today, the scholarship is sustained through the generosity of mission-driven donors who make it possible for individuals living with epilepsy to access critical support, care, and opportunity.

Application

 

Students who show courage when dealing with epilepsy and seizures, a strong commitment to their education, and perseverance in eliminating the obstacles epilepsy and seizures may present are welcome to apply for the  I’m Still Here Epilepsy Resilience Scholarship. Three scholarships will be awarded, (1) $2,000 scholarship and (2) $1,500 scholarships.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a person must:

  • Have a diagnosis of epilepsy/seizure disorder
  • Provide proof of acceptance to a post-secondary academic or vocational program
  • Be a High School Senior or currently enrolled at a trade school, college, or university and be in good standing
  • Be a legal resident of Central and South Texas
  • Additional weight will be given to applicants who have a history of engagement with EFCST.

CURE Education Enrichment Fund

Made possible by the generous funding of Greenwich Biosciences, this program is a one-time scholarship (up to $5,000) for those living with epilepsy, family members & caregivers. The scholarship is to be used toward coursework to advance personal knowledge in research, health education, advocacy and/or awareness in relation to their experiences with epilepsy.

EWI Scholarship

EWI is proud to support the educational funding of students that reside within our chapter boundaries. Both the EWISP (EWI Scholarship Program) and the ASIST (Adult Students in Scholastic Transition) programs are administered locally in our chapter cities. Please note that our programs require the student applying to reside within our chapter boundaries as a primary qualification.
