Lauren “Peanut” Lynch

Lauren Nadine Lynch was best known as “Peanut” by those who loved her. She was an accomplished athlete and an inspiration to other people with disabilities despite living with epilepsy. On January 29, 2018, 22-year-old Lauren lost her battle with epilepsy.

Only 30 days after tragically losing her daughter, Shila Leos set up a fundraiser through Amplify Austin. Originally setting her goal at $500, Leos’s fundraiser exceeded her goal by raising more than $40,000. Generous donations from Leos company Drillinginfo, as well as donations from family and friends, helped Leos raise over $40,000.

Amplify Austin is an online giving day website for the community. On March 1, 2018 starting at 6 p.m. through March 2, 2018 at 6 p.m. Leos held her fundraiser. Leos’s efforts landed her third on the overall “Individual Donor” leaderboard out of 2,790 other campaigns.

Donations can still be made to the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas.
