The Epilepsy IM OK Golf Tournament, was created by the Smith family in memory of their son Kaden, and organized by the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas. It will begin on October 5th, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at the River Place Country Club, a memorable and challenging golf course in Austin, Texas.
Participants will enjoy a day of golfing, contests, and prizes to help provide services to people living with epilepsy in Central Texas. The Epilepsy IM OK Tournament will end with a lunch, awards program, and exciting silent auction with items donated by local businesses and people with a connection to epilepsy. More than 155,000 people in Central and South Texas have epilepsy.
Visit EpilepsyGolf.com for more information, to view sponsor opportunities and to register online. Community members interested in supporting this cause may attend the luncheon and silent auction only, called Lunch & Shop. Also, guests can purchase Kendra Scott jewelry at a trunk show held at mid-day. A portion of funds raised at the trunk show will benefit EFCST.
About Kaden
Kaden Smith lost his battle with epilepsy at age nine in 2010. The Smith family say with conviction that no one should have to lose a loved one or suffer from epilepsy. They keep Kaden’s memory alive with their long-standing support of people still living with epilepsy through funds raised at this golf tournament as well as at an annual Walk to End Epilepsy held in the spring.
Proceeds made from the golf tournament help the Epilepsy Foundation Central & South Texas provide essential medical care, support groups, community education, and youth programs to individuals living with epilepsy and their families.
