On June 22, 2025, Governor Greg Abbott vetoed SB 3—a bill that would have banned consumable hemp products, including certain CBD products. But the fight isn’t over. A special legislative session begins July 21, and it will be crucial for the epilepsy community to stay engaged. Many individuals with epilepsy benefit from access to CBD products—whether through consumable hemp, the Compassionate Use Program, or FDA-approved Epidiolex.
