Peer 2 Peer Education Program
The Peer Education Program is an innovative approach to education, assistance, and enrichment for youth living with or affected by epilepsy. The goal of the Peer Education Program is to fulfill an important need to educate youth in a way that’s tangible for them to educate their peers about epilepsy. It is also designed to expand the knowledge of the trained peers, and the community in which youth affected by epilepsy live and work.
The Peer Education Program was developed by the National Youth Council of the Epilepsy Foundation and is supported by the CDC. It was developed in response to a need for a standardized tool for peer to peer education. This training will provide core curriculum for educating youth about epilepsy and ways to educate their peers. Click here to learn about each of the modules. Participants completing the program will become Certified Peer Educators.
